Your Pre-Departure Walkthrough
Before you drive off, take 15–20 minutes to check the following with your rental provider (like Camper Charter!) to avoid surprises later:

🚐 Vehicle Walkaround
✔ Check for any existing damage or scratches—take photos
✔ Make sure tyre tread and pressure look good
✔ Windscreen, mirrors, and lights are clean and undamaged
✔ Test indicators, headlights, and brake lights
✔ Windscreen washer full and working
🔑 Inside the Van
✔ Test the lights, fan/heating, and USB/power outlets
✔ Check the gas hob works (ask to light it safely)
✔ Open & close all cupboards, drawers, and blinds
✔ Check how to use the bed setup—folding or fixed?
✔ Check how the pop-top raises/lowers
✔ Check if the seats swivel
✔ Check how the heating works
✔ Test water pump, sink tap, and fridge (if electric/cool box)
🧾 Handover Essentials
✔ Confirm fuel level and fuel type (usually full-to-full)
✔ Note mileage on pickup
✔ Get clear instructions for:
· Gas shutoff
· Electric hookup (if relevant)
· Water fill and waste disposal
· Emergency kit location (fire extinguisher, first aid)
✔ Ask questions—this is your moment!
📱 Before You Go
✔ Add emergency contact number to your phone
✔ Download offline maps (in case of no signal)
✔ Take photos of dashboard settings (helpful for quick reference)
✔ Double-check your route or campsite location
✔ Make sure everything is stowed and secure
